Why people use it

  • Private by design: processing happens in your browser. See how to check where your files go.
  • Honest about limits: every tool page states what it does not do (for example, Compress does not recompress images).
  • No account, no watermark: the tools do not add watermarks to your output and do not ask you to sign up.

Frequently asked questions

What is OnCloudPDF?

OnCloudPDF is a free website with 35 PDF tools such as merge, split, compress, convert to image or Word, rotate, sign, add watermarks and OCR. The tools run inside your web browser, so you do not install anything or create an account.

Is OnCloudPDF free?

Yes. All tools are free, with no sign-up, and the site is supported by advertising. The tools enforce no file-size or usage limit of their own; the practical limit is your device memory.

Are my PDF files uploaded to a server?

No. Your PDF is read and processed locally by your browser and is not sent to OnCloudPDF servers. The page does download some script code from public CDNs (for example the PDF.js worker, and OCR language data for the OCR tool), but never your document.

What can OnCloudPDF not do?

Several tools are simple by design: Compress only optimizes file structure and does not recompress images, PDF to Word extracts text without faithful layout, Unlock may not decrypt strong encryption, and PDF/A output is not validated. Each tool page lists its exact limits.

Who makes OnCloudPDF?

OnCloudPDF is built and maintained by TLL Developers, an independent software developer. Contact details are on the contact page.
