Good to know: Only the main picture of each HEIC file is used. Extra images inside the file (burst frames, depth maps, the video of a Live Photo) are ignored. All limits

How to use HEIC to PDF
Select one or more HEIC or HEIF photos (JPG, PNG and WebP can be mixed in).
Drag the tiles or use the arrows to set the page order, or sort A to Z.
Pick the page: A4, Letter or the size of each photo, with no, small or large margins, and High or Standard quality.
Click Create PDF and download the file. A single photo keeps its name; several photos become photos.pdf.
What it does and what it does not do
Only the main picture of each HEIC file is used. Extra images inside the file (burst frames, depth maps, the video of a Live Photo) are ignored.
Pictures are decoded to 8 bits per channel and saved into the PDF as JPEG (quality 92 for High, 80 for Standard). Colours from wide-gamut Display P3 photos are not colour-managed, so they can look slightly less saturated than on the phone.
HEIC photos are re-encoded without their metadata, so location, date and camera model are not copied into the PDF (JPEG files mixed in are embedded as they are, with theirs). Orientation is applied, so a portrait photo comes out upright.
Photos are fitted inside the page without cropping or stretching, so a landscape photo on a portrait A4 page leaves blank space above and below. Choose Photo size to give each page the exact proportions of its photo.
HEIC is decoded by your browser when it can (Safari). Otherwise a decoder of about 1.4 MB (libheif, an LGPL library) is downloaded once from this site and cached, so the first conversion on a new browser needs a connection. Very large pictures (over about 120 megapixels) are refused.
There is no text recognition: the PDF is made of pictures. Use OCR PDF afterwards if you need searchable text.
Is my file uploaded?
The photos stay in your browser. HEIC decoding runs on your device, either with the browser itself or with a decoder that this site serves from its own domain and runs in a Web Worker that is closed afterwards. Nothing is sent to a server; the only download is the decoder program, never your pictures.
Why a HEIC file does not open everywhere
iPhones and many Android phones save photos as HEIC (also called HEIF), a format that is half the size of JPEG for the same quality. Windows, many web forms and older programs cannot open it, which is why a PDF is a common way to share the photo. A PDF made here carries the picture as a JPEG, which every reader understands.
Photos for an application or a form
Pick A4 with Small margins and High quality for documents such as a signed page or an ID copy photographed with the phone. Put the pages in order before you convert. If the receiving site limits the file size, run the PDF through Compress PDF afterwards, which lowers the resolution of the images.

Frequently asked questions
How do I convert HEIC to PDF?
Open the tool, select your HEIC photos, choose a page size and click Create PDF. Each photo becomes a page, in the order shown, and you download a single PDF.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. HEIC is decoded and the PDF is built inside your browser. Only the decoder program is downloaded, once, from this site.
Can I combine several HEIC photos into one PDF?
Yes. Select as many as you like, set their order and download one PDF with one photo per page. JPG, PNG and WebP files can be mixed with them.
Does the PDF keep my location data?
Not for HEIC photos: they are re-encoded as JPEG without the EXIF block, so GPS position, date and camera model are not copied into the PDF. JPEG files that you mix in are embedded unchanged and keep their own metadata.
Why did the first conversion take longer?
If your browser cannot decode HEIC itself, a decoder of about 1.4 MB is downloaded the first time. After that it is cached and also works offline.
Does it work with TIFF or other formats?
Yes for JPG, PNG, WebP, BMP, GIF and TIFF through Images to PDF, which keeps each image at its own size. This page adds page sizes and margins.
